A couple of things you should consider (hope I have this right, if I don't others will jump in and correct me, I'm sure).

Have you considered buying a Canon-refurbished R6?

It will look like new and come with the same 1-year warranty as would a "new" camera. You get about 10% off the list price.

But wait... there might be more!

Since you already have the SX50, I'm wondering if it's included in the Canon owner's loyalty program...?

How this works -- you call the Canon online store, with the serial number of the SX50. Assuming that it's in the loyalty program (I searched but could not find a list of included cameras), you might be able to get an additional 10% off the (already discounted) price of the R6 refurb.

As I said, I think that's how it works.
Others... please correct me if this is wrong.

But opting for the above could make an R6 more "affordable"...
