I have zero problem using crop mode on the RP for 10 megapixels. That’s the same resolution as my first crop DSLR had and I have some lovely 8x10’s printed from that. This lens will mostly produce wildlife pages in photo albums anyway. Like 9 pictures on an 11 x 14 page in a collage.

I think a lot of folks (myself included at times) don’t seriously consider the output we’re looking for when we start talking megapixels.

There is much more flexibility with a crop camera due to its much higher pixel density. I would rather shoot in FF mode with my R and just crop the photo in post. It is the same as shooting in crop mode from a mp aspect and gives more flexibility in framing the final results.

I agree with cropping later generally.  Sometimes it’s nice to frame things in the EVF though.
