R5 Makes Chatter Noises While Removing Lens

My R5 makes a purring sound like a cat when I remove an RF lens. The purr duration is about 1 second. I'm assuming it's the IBIS mechanism.

This chattering happens when I remove (or sometimes when mounted) my RF lenses: the 24-105 f/4 and the 100-500. Anyone else notice this? The purr happens the moment I start twisting the lens to remove. Of course you will need to be in a quiet environment to hear.

I'm removing the battery some of the time to prevent this behavior. I recall that the EOS R exhibited this behavior early on but a firmware update corrected. I haven't noticed this chatter with EF lenses.

1. This is not physical "rattling" of the IBIS mechanism. I'm aware of that.

2. The power switch is in the OFF position.

3. IS switch on the lens is "on".

4. Removing the battery, changing a lens, then installing the battery does not produce the noise upon closing battery door.

Thanks for reading!
