16-35 f4 L not looking good to me. But Canon says it's good!

Hello buddys,

I bought a Canon 16-35 f4 L, due to Covid and I didn't test it in the real world for a while, it seemed to be ok.. until, over time, I started to see strange phenomena in the lens.

1st the right side always looked soft compared to the left, very noticeable in the 20-30 mm range.

Submited to Canon warranty as a defect. Canon spent 1 month and sent back with a report which say they saw nothing wrong nor the defect indicated.

Today I notice that also when you compare the same photograph at 16mm at f4 and f7.1 (tripod mount+ remote control), when closed the aperture beyond f5 becomes softer!

None of this looks good to me. What is your opinion? I'm paranoid? What should I do?

16 mm f4 vs f7.1 (100% crop)
