The 18f1.4 seems to be a great lens (just saw the review by Chris Frost). Unless you are much into fast lenses for bokeh and low light, why don't you consider the 10-24f4 zoom? You have all in one lens and more. A 28mm equivalent ist not really wide enough to give you that dramatic persepctive for landscape, yet it already is not the best perspective for portraits of families and groups. The 10-24 has OIS which helps in low light with static subjects. And it is the same price, too.

Once I went on vacation and everything was in a hurry to get started. While I thought I had taken my full set of lenses, I only had a 28mm and 90mm with me (FF). I was really mad at myself. Turned out to be a good vacation since that forced me to make use of the two focal lenghts. So, yes, 18mm works. But I would still opt for the zoom.
