Yes, I have this lens, and it is very good indeed for static subjects. BUT, it has a narrow focus field wide open and won't autofocus on your chefs as they chat on video. If you have it set at a wide aperture setting to blur out your oven they'll have to stay very still to remain in focus.

Ok so your talking using a tripod which iam or is it worse with this lens?
