I own the RP and RF 35MM STM and the M6Ii and the EF-M 32MM and the IQ of the M6II with the 32MM smokes the RP with the 35MM STM at lower ISO settings.

For the M6II higher ISO settings PL5 can get you about 2 stops.

It would cost big bucks to beat the M6II with the 32MM lens lower ISO IQ ?

A better comparison would be the RP + 50 mm, but your points still mostly stand within the Canon brand.

I have the EF 50MM STM and the RF 35MM STM and neither can nail focus on my RP like my M6II with 32MM can.

I am thinking since the body does focus with the lens wide open that is part of the reason sharp wide open f1.4 lenses can nail focus in such low light.

I find my RP to focus much more reliably than our M6II regardless of lens attached.  Even with the 32, the M6II only reliably picked up the eye within a couple meters of the subject.  It usually uses face detect.  The RP will grab an eye from just about any distance provided it’s noticeable in frame.  I was able to use the 600 f/11 with eye AF with my kids playing way out in the waves.
