Anti skid screws on arca-swiss style Q/R tripod attachment foot?

I've ordered a replacement foot (for my Sony 200-600 lens) with the Arca-Swiss style dovetail groove. Not for the first time I'm wondering why the anti skid screws are located on the foot rather than the shoe. It means the foot/camera/lens is unstable if set down on a flat surface - to the extent that I take the risk of the lens catastrophically slipping out before the attachment has been tightened. Previously I've tapped a new thread and fixed a small screw on the shoe of a different non-compatible brand - which worked, and may try supergluing full-width stops across the dedicated replacement foot.

Is there a brand which solves, what seems to me, a simple design issue? I can't be the only person, surely, who's bothered by this!
