ProPhoto RGB working space - a question for SPP users
1

I’ve used sRGB working space in SPP for sometime because when I set SPP working space to ProPhoto the colours of the SPP folder thumbnails becomes hyper saturated. Is this because the thumbs are set in camera to sRGB JPGS and so look weird when SPP is set to ProPhoto working space - at least until they are opened for editing?

Secondly, if the working space is set to ProPhoto what should my Thunderbolt Display setting be? Should it also be ProPhoto too rather than sRGB or native Thunderbolt setting? If I do this the rest of my Apps on screen look washed out While it makes sense to set the display to the same calibration as the SPP working space I’m thinking this is likely wrong but I’ve no idea why.

In need of some technical help!

Anthony
