Re: Are you completely satisfied with your gear?

I may sound naive or out of the chore but I've always been satisfied with the equipment I had at various point of my personal growth as a person and as a photographer.

The reason for buying new cameras was made possible, from time to time, by new technological progresses rather than not being really satisfied with "ongoing" gear.  The progressive changes enabled a "better quality output" and, sometimes, some more satisfaction on using one particular camera or a particular lens.

In my recent book I had "the problem" of uniforming color output and moods from 9 different cameras: this was a challenging task, more challenging then defining what gear to buy next.

Today I use:

  • Rollei 6003 professional + 80mm
  • Olympus em1mk2 + 12-100f4
  • Ricoh GR
  • Fujifilm GFX50R, 30mm, 45mm, 100-200mm.

Each of this plays a role in making photographs according with the mood of the moment, the need for a given print-size output and so on.
