R5 Banding
1

Whilst I know the R5 isn't as clean on pulling as a D850, can someone tell me if the R5 is still causing banding ala the samples -

Whilst I would normally shoot a separate foreground at lower ISO 400 etc and blend to sky, these shots all show horrendous banding lines in the darks with even a 0.5 stop pull in LR, is this also still occurring? There are several reasons I want to know the score on this issue, astro deepsky, etc.

See all the astro shots in dpreview gallery. Any slight pull with the raw file causes this and just want to be clear what I am buying https://www.dpreview.com/sample-galleries/7757595702/canon-eos-r5-sample-gallery/2426407325

12,800 has CLEAR horizontal lines that are inexcusable for a short 4 second exposure.

What is odd is I looked here - and with large pushes, it is showing no banding. So not sure what to believe - https://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Camera-Noise.aspx?Camera=1508&Test=0&ISO=100&CameraComp=1508&TestComp=7&ISOComp=25600

Has this been fixed in firmware, changed or improved in the RAW convertor?
