Olympus manual focus by wire question

I've had the Olympus 100-400mm for several months and am really happy with it. But, there’s one thing that it’s taking me a while to get used to.

Manual focusing is not linear in response. If one turns the focus wheel rapidly it quickly jumps to a distance that is a lot closer or farther, but when I turn the focus wheel slowly it micro focuses. This is very handy at times, but when I need to quickly acquire focus for BIF or when a bird is in a dark area or jumping around a dense bush. I find the process disorienting because I’ve been mostly using manual lenses for years…

Is there a way to switch to a linear response? Have searched the menu but haven’t seen any way to adjust…

Thanks
