Just picked up the RP, will the EF 24-105 be all right or should I pay nearly triple for the RF?

Hi everyone. I just picked up the RP (still on way from Canon) to replace my 80D since I wanted an "in" into the FF world. Anyways, I am on a budget, but I can get the 24-105 EF L lens (first version since I don't do any videography) for around 400€. I could also get the RF version for 1,100€. That's considerably more. I know from reviews that the RF version is faster and sharper by a bit, but since it's already a big step up from what I currently have... should I stick with the adapter + 24-105 EF version and save 700€ for more glass down the line, or should I just save up now and get the RF version? Is the EF + adapter going to be so darn awkward on the RP?

Thanks.

I faced the same dilemma and went with the adapter.  I have no regrets.  I couldn't afford to replace this lens, but replacing my 100-400 was really impossible.

I know that this particular lens is not the sharpest lens that Canon has ever released, but it's perfectly serviceable with a slight bit of sharpening applied in LR.  Recently purchased Topaz Labs DeNoise AI, which not only removes noise but slightly sharpens the image as well.  Absolutely brilliant results.

I'm confident that I made the right decision, but will probably replace my lenses right after I win a major lottery.
