I’ve read the reviews.  It looks good, with a little weakness in the corners at 14mm, which is to be expected given the geometric stretch required. I own the EF16-35/4 and it will be hard to better this optically. However the EF16-35/4 is huge mounted on an R body with an adapter, and now I’m used to the compact size of the RF 24-105/4L and RF70-200/4L this is a real annoyance and so I’m seriously considering the 14-35.  As this is primarily a landscape/architecture/travel lens for me I have no need for f2.8, or the extra weight and expense of the 15-35/2.8.
