Don’t throw away old DSLRs.

Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera (MILC) is the new sensation in the photography world. More so, due to the manufacturers’ need for cash inflow as the sales slump and pandemic played havoc to this industry. We sympathize with them.

However, old pro-level DSLRs are still very capable imaging equipment and have many years of serviceable life left in them. Being a hobbyist Canon user; I can confidently name EOS 5D Mark II, 1D Mark IV and 7D bodies that do turn out great images even by modern standards and can go on clicking for very long time. Most of these bodies do surpass the rated actuations declared by manufacturer.

Therefore, enthusiasts should seriously consider getting them at affordable prices in the used market and enjoy shooting with them.
