Canon EOS M6 Infrared Images
27

I just received my converted Canon EOS M6 back last week and we had a sunny day today so I took it out for a spin.

First a little history. I have had the following converted M cameras.

1. Canon EOS M - 590nm (sold because I didn't care for the poor battery life).

2. Canon EOS M5 - 720nm (sold because I actually didn't care for 720nm compared to 590nm).

3. Canon EOS M6 - 590nm (sold because I moved on to Fuji).

and here I am with my 4th camera, a Canon EOS M6 - 590nm. I choose 590nm for a variety of reasons but the main one being I like the flexibility when it comes to converting to black and white.

Here are a few threads from the past:

And now today.  I went to a local woodland area and I have always loved black and white bare tree images.

Also, one thing to note.  I had hoped the 18-150mm lens would have worked for infrared but it turns out the quality of the results is dreadful.  I have found the 15-45mm and 22mm lenses to be the best native ef-m lenses to use.  I love the M6 and 15-45mm as I just threw it in my jacket pocket today as I was walking around.

Anyways, like my previous thread, I will continue to post in this thread as I take more IR images to make it easier to find for anyone searching.
