Vote with your feet (your 70-200s Arca-compatible feet, that is!)

Hey All,

I just got a new 70-200z last month. I'm taking it to Africa in a few months, so I figure I'm better off getting an Arca-Swiss compatible replacement foot for it, rather than bolting on a plate to the existing foot.

So I've found a few models on Amazon and B&H, and I figured I'd start this thread to consolidate the advice, since there have been various comments on other threads.

From most expensive to least, we have:

RRS- https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1623683-REG/really_right_stuff_lcf_21_foot_for_nikkor_z.html

Kirk- https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1595112-REG/kirk_lp_70_replacement_foot_for_nikon.html

Lefoto- https://www.amazon.com/Leofoto-NF-05-Replacement-Nikkor-70-200MM/dp/B091DNFZN7/ref=sr_1_2

Hoage- https://www.amazon.com/Haoge-Replacement-70-200mm-z-Mount-Release/dp/B08NJLGCPW/ref=sr_1_9_sspa

iShoot- https://www.amazon.com/iShoot-Compatible-70-200mm-Support-Dovetail/dp/B08RBRJP4X/ref=sr_1_2

Has anyone used any of these, and what is your experience? I would assume that the RRS & Kirk models get the highest marks and are probably the way to go. But if they all work well, the $30 one might be the best choice. All five have had critical consumer reviews around fit on the lens or tightness.

Some people use a Peak Design plate screwed directly onto the mount. The foot will serve both as a tripod mounting piece and a camera strap attachment point, so I would be a little concerned about the bolt damaging the screw hole in the camera, or, worse, the bolt unscrewing itself and I destroy thousands of dollars of gear out in the veldt.
