Behavior of pressure sensitivity on budget tablets vs. Wacom?

Does anyone have any thoughts or feedback about the behavior of pressure sensitivity on various budget tablets compared with more premium options, presumably Wacom? Even if you just have a suggestion on where else I might consider asking this question, that input would certainly be welcome as well.

I have a budget Huion which would serve me fine if I were only doing modest photo editing. These days, however, I'm more interested in creating digital painting style original artwork. It's here that my Huion lets me down. The lightest third or so of the pressure sensitivity range is just really "chunky" in how it behaves compared to the top portion of the range. Tilt sensitivity is even worse. It's present but it feels like it has maybe just three or four values.

I've been assuming that a Wacom Intuos Pro would likely address my concerns. Boy or boy though, that's a pretty expensive assumption to act on without getting some feedback first. Hence my hope if getting input from someone who's made a similar upgrade from a budget tablet option to a Wacom.
