R6: How to control aperture while using for Zoom videoconferencing?

Have a R6, using both zoom and primes for online Zoom video.

Regardless of whether I am in APERTURE PRIORITY, MANUAL, or VIDEO mode, it defaults to wide-open aperture.  The depth of field is too shallow and I'd like to stop it down.  How do I do this?  Changing aperture in any of the mentioned modes makes no difference whatsoever - it defaults to maximum aperture.

Thanks in advance for any help.
