DP1 Quattro Super High JPG more superior than X3F?
1

Hi all, Hope everyone here on Sigma forum is well.
Just collected my first Quattro (DP1Q) yesterday and done my usual geeky camera test set this morning... aperture sharpness, decentering test, any dust in sensor blar blar blar

Anyway and to my surprise, I am seeing better IQ and details using Super High (39mb; default standard mode) comparing to X3F sooc! I had a Sigma DP1 Merrill and quite Merrill X3F were much sharper and more details than JPEG sooc (though the corners were always weak for my DP1M)

So would like to ask if anyone noticed the same too with DP Quattro series or even SD Quattro/H? Meanwhile, im trying to convert X3F > TIF and will compare using Silkypix and CaptureOne.

Screenshots below -

Left: Sigma X3F SOOC | Right: Super high Resolution JPEG SOOC (All settings default; Standard color mode) Overexposure & Purple Fringe correction turned off since I always usually raw for landscape

And below; original SOOC files for your peeping!

X3F SOOC (SPP 6.8.2)

Super high Resolution JPEG SOOC

Thanks so much.
