DxO Photolab 5 Rant

When I ran into trouble with version 3 refusing to open ORF images from my EM1 iii I and after reading that we should support software developers that don't require us to have subscriptions (like Adobe) I decided to upgrade to version 5.

Do I remember that this version was supposed to make things simpler, or is that just a figment of my imagination?

Yes...I was happy that I was able to open my ORFs from Photolab 5, but I've been going nuts trying to customize what I can see on the screen.

When I chose "Maximize" in the View menu I lost the top menu bar and the only way I could get it back was to control-alt-delete and close the program.

At one point when I clicked on Customize I lost all the palettes on the right side of the screen.

Is anyone else having trouble with the new interface?
