Re: A hypothesis on IBIS w/ third party lenses

Hi everyone, I also signed up to comment on this, as I'm pretty sure that I have the same issue. I use the X-S10 with the 12mm AF for video and the performance in general hasn't been great. I've encountered pretty bad AF breathing and exe tracking with this lense has caused quite a few problems as well. And I also have the feeling that IBIS isn't working correctly, as my footage is coming our pretty shaky.

I've done a few basic tests (filming a static object and wobbling the camera a bit) and I can't see a difference between no stabilisation and turning on IBIS.

I did the same test with my 16-80mm FUJI lens and the difference is huge, but the FUJI lens also has OIS, so this makes it a bit more difficult to analyse (OIS can't be switched off manually on this lens).

I'm also a bit worried, because I'm travelling right now and there's no info available on when a firmware update could come out. Also, the lens station for Fuji isn't even available yet from what I could see, so it feels like it's going to be a while.
