Panasonic GH5S comparison - Not what you expect

I recently rented a GH5S and run it in parallel to my GH5M2

The articles are here

Some interesting finds

1. Despite back illuminated and dual gain sensor the low light performance in raw was worse than the GH5M2 and the G9

2. In video it seems lot of the high ISO performance comes from noise reduction and only in part by the dual native ISO

3. There is still a use case as it is the only camera that can shoot raw video - however it looks coarse I did not even bother publishing anything as it required noise reduction even at base ISO

Based on that i am a bit skeptical that back illuminated sensor on its own is going to make matters so much better for MFT in low light
