Nikon 200-500mm for a Z6 / D7000

Hi all, I currently have a 14-30 and 24-70 f/4 for my Z6 along with a 70-300mm af-s and ftz adapter. I was thinking about adding a longer telephoto for wildlife and birding. The price is right for the 200-500 at about $1000 used, plus I could use it on my D7000 for 1.5x crop or on the ftz f6.

Anything else I should consider? I know the 200-600 is on the Z roadmap, but I'm assuming it will be similar to Sony around $2000. There is also the 100-400, which is a great range for outdoor soccer that I do for my daughter, but that lens is $2700 and there's a lot of overlap on my 70-300 (although obv better IQ, prob more than I need). Last option is the Sigma 150-600, which has great reviews, but I think I'd prefer to stick with Nikon brand.

I regret not pulling the trigger on the 200-500 when it was $300 off but had just bought all the mirrorless gear and was hesitant to invest in f mount since adding z mount

Thanks, Scott
