With lithium-ion batteries no longer allowed on planes ...

... the Pentax K-30 is now a very unique camera.

As far as I know, the K-30 is the ONLY high IQ DSLR that has an adapter for operating solely on AA batteries!

This is a pretty valuable feature these days when it comes to air travel. The airlines are becoming much more vigilant when it comes to lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are not allowed AT ALL, ANYWHERE on an airplane, either in the overheads or the main baggage compartment.

I had to give up two of my Fuji batteries on a recent trip, then buy new ones when I got to my destination.

Amazing, isn't it, that the K-30 has this singular advantage over all other DSLRs (as far as I know).
