Shutter sound in newer Olympus cameras

I recommend the M10.2 for all my friends that envy my cameras to get started in MFT.

But as for myself, a i shoot my $400 refurbished Olympus M5.2 and love it a little more each day.

For the extra coin the Olympus buyer paid to upgrade to a M5.2 over the M10 series, he got a whole lot of tiny little improvements such as magnesium alloy construction, better (and quieter) IBIS, a high res shot, 1/8000 mechanical shutter, FML 3 flash, it’s a better toy, all around.

But I think the best improvement is the soft shutter sound.

I don’t know how they did that, but it’s much more satisfying to hear that soft click when I use it, compared to my P5 and other Olympus cameras I own.

Do the newer Olympus camera bodies like the M1.2, M5.3, and M1.2 and M1X have the soft shutter sound?

Someday I might upgrade, and I’d want to keep that sound.
