A quick business trip to Niagara Falls

After my "quick business trip to Port Hope" I had promised @snapa that for my trip to Niagara Falls I would take more time for photography. Despite the fact that I almost lost the fingers on my right hand, I took more photos (a promise is a promise). So here are some images. At the time of my visit it was -19°C, windy and at times quite a heavy snow fall.

The first image. So, where are the Falls? At least it turned out to be a BIF (three of them) photo

Cold and snowy

The American Falls

And here the Canadian Falls in all their glory

As you can see from these images, I had quite a fight with getting the proper white balance during this shoot. Cold, fog, snow make for difficult conditions. The E 18-135 is certainly a nice lens, however, this shoot reminded me again that it is best to stay away from the wide end wide open due to the strong fall-off.

Actually, these photos were quite expensive. I had to pay $ 10.00 for one hour of parking to see the Falls under miserable conditions.
