Fujifilm X100V after 6 months

Things I like

- Solid and dense build overall.

- Updated lens is sharp wide open with good contrast and good close focusing performance.

- Very good AF performance and a big improvement in AF-C over the X100F.

- Very quiet leaf shutter, with benefits for flash sync.

- Very well implemented rear tilting screen.

- OVF and EVF both very good upgrades over previous model

Things I would like to see in the next model

- The only thing letting the build down is the viewfinder selector switch and the battery door - both feel cheap and flimsy. I also feel the shutter speed dial is a little too stiff. Make it closer in feel to exposure comp. dial.

- IBIS. Ricoh put it in the GR - no excuse here.

- Quieter/faster lens AF motor.

- Internal storage for redundancy.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that I have never had as much fun shooting with a camera. For me, this is the jewel in the Fuji X lineup and I wouldn’t hesitate to lay down the money again for one should anything happen to the one I own.
