A couple of adapters will give you 6 lenses to start with.

I was just starting to research this option. I didn't realize there were adapters that could do this until I stumbled on it as a recommended accessory on Adorama.

I do wonder how the huge 24-70 will feel on the x-t3 with an adapter though

1/viltrox Speedbooster will give you a 53mm f1.3.a 43mmf2 and a 26-75 f2.

2/fringer pro mk2 give you same speed but a 1.5x crop.

Great recommendations.

Then add a 15-45 for some width.

Btw the nifty 50 and shorty 40 are hardly heavy o0r bulky, the zoom is.

You are correct. I realized I grouped them into my "bulky" comment and shouldn't have.

I

The Fringer MK II and PRO MK II are the same, except the pro has an aperture ring. You want the MK II, not MK 1. I bought the non pro MK II from Amazon used for $200. I have used it with the 55-250 STM, 18-55 IS STM, 50 STM, 85 1.8 and 135L. Works well on all, the AF speed is good enough but pure AF speed will be slightly better with native lenses from Fuji.

Aside from making them slightly longer, no issues. I got the Fringer to make my jump into Fuji cheaper and it's helped. Since i have picked up 3 X mount lenses but i still like using my 135L as i love longer portraits.

Be careful with other adapters, Fringer is the best for AF, some of the others are hit n miss and can be fairly slow.
