It should be fine.  I used the Tamron 150-600mm lens with my older Canon T3i (600D) cameras for years.  Now I'm using that lens with a Canon T7i (800D) camera.  Try it out and see.  Let us know the results.  It takes a while to get used to handling that large telephoto lens.

Sure if you had a newer camera like the Canon T8i (850D) or Canon 90D that would be better.  But we use what we have.  Remember that the best camera you have is the one that you are using.

Challenge yourself to get just as good of photos as someone else that uses gear worth thousands of dollars more.  Have fun taking pictures.
