Yes, there is a 12mm extension tube between the EF 1.4x & 2x mk iii's.

But I consider the 12mm EF/RF adapter a failed experiment because I could not get it to AF. So, I just went out and bought an RF 1.4x and a Commlite CM-EF-EOSR ARC adapter and ditched the extension tube. You have to file down the ridge above the connector pins a little to get the RF 1.4x to fit inside the adapter (be sure to clean it well to prevent dust from migrating to your lens and then to the sensor when you take the adapter off). AF is good, and both adapters show up in the EXIF, but the R5 only accounts for the EF 2x iii in the FL & f/no.
