Yes, I am well aware of that. I have made such a device for a different application. A cable is withdrawn by a solenoid and the reverse action is by means of a coil spring. However, it is clumsy and would be difficult to minimise for a camera operation. As far as I'm aware there is only one person in the world seeking such a device for cameras, so marketing prospects look somewhat bleak.
