If I can be serious for a moment. The built in flash is a handy feature that would have been nice on the RP. Just a little fill flash for that vacation sunset portrait without hauling out the big light. And for mirrorless, there really isn’t a reason not to. It would just be a slightly taller bump, or off to the side like the M’s.

It’s a handy feature on the M62. The only thing I don’t understand on the M flash it the tilt feature. If I’m ever shooting a close up in a room with a seven foot ceiling, then maybe it’ll bounce?

Yes, it's pretty weak. I have used it with low ceilings (8 feet), and it does work, kind of, at close enough distances. I suppose having the option to tilt it is better than not, even if it's almost never useful. But then, I almost never use flash at all, so I don't get annoyed with it. In fact, my main use of flash is fill flash outdoors on a sunny day to cut the harsh shadows, and for that I need a decent amount of power and high speed sync capability. I have several flashes that can do that, but rarely have them with me when I'm taking pictures. It just isn't important enough to me. And I agree that a built-in flash on the RP would have been a nice touch.

As the length of a thread approaches 150, the probability that someone will make the obvious "it's not the camera, it's the photographer" remark approaches 1.
