Thank you for the input. I checked the links and did some addition searching and I'm getting a better idea of how the Raspberry Pi system works. It looks like I need two of the 16MP cameras, a Raspberry computer modual , CM3+ is the newest and a Stereo Pi module. I'm not sure if I can use my iMac to run the software for programming, so I might need a PC to bring everything together.

t sounds like it is ALMOST plug and play, but I don't know enough about this to make a determination. Overall, it sounds very good and with the new cameras, it should give nice photos and HD video.

As I was searching around it seems that there is a newer board available, Module 4 instead of the CM3+.  I'm not sure if it is comparable with  Stereo Pi board but I would assume it is.  All of this Raspberry Pi stuff sounds really cool, I just don't understand all of it and how everything integrates.  But it looks like it could be used to make a better camera than the Fujifilm W3.
