Almost everything is a LOT shorter and MUCH lighter than the EF-S 17-55mm. Once you add in the adapter, you are basically up to the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 IS L.

I just compared my M6 II with 177-55 (plus Canon adapter) against my RP with RF 24-240. The former is noticeably heavier, but the latter isn't f/2.8. I find the 24-240 to be a fine performer.

I have sort of a double life with the M6 II. Sometimes, it's a light, trim, general use camera. Other times, it's a sensor I can attach to stuff like bellows, scopes, and various rigs, where body handling is of secondary importance. Both usages have worked well for me.

The RP is as adaptable as the M6 II, and not much larger, but it gets mostly "camera" use.
