Hello All, first time poster. Just wanted to share that when I plug my Tentacle Sync timecode generator with a stereo 3.5”into my Canon EOS M (first gen) and EOS M2, they both recognize independent L/R input channels. I know this because the TS sends audio timecode to the Left channel and has its own built-in mic sending to the Right. So as you would expect, the meter on the Left is active and the Right has no level at all, completely flat, until I speak into the mic. When I plug the same TS into the M6, and also the M3 by the way, the input audio is now combined and no longer has separate mono input channels. So it seems this feature was nixed starting from the M3 forward. A bit of a bummer because one can’t take advantage of the newer features of the M3 and M6 without losing this audio input feature. A “Y” splitter does not help. If anyone has found a magic adapter or work around that would create these two separate input tracks, please post it. The TS is a great way to see if your other cameras fall victim to this inconvenience. For what it’s worth my main camera, the Sony RX10ii does recognize separate inputs. Thanks for reading, and Happy New Year!

Would something like the Atomos Ninja xx work for you?
