I have the H1N; it sounds okay -- it's not the best sounding I've heard, but it may be the best sounding one you can get in the $100 price range, and it's easy to use.

If you have the option to put it wherever you want, I'd probably put it right at the edge of the piano body, in the curve (on the right side from the pianist's perspective). If the lid is on the short stick, about halfway between the edge of the lid and the edge of the body, close enough that if you were to close the lid you'd have to move the mic slightly to do so. If the lid is on the long stick then same idea, but up a little higher and pointed down a little more.
