As the post says here are test shots taken yesterday in really crappy overcast weather, which is nothing unusual here in the UK.

They where taken at 10,000 iso and they are straight shots with no post processing done at all, they where shot in RAW and converted to JPEG when download to my phone, there is no sharpening applied other than the standard profile in camera settings.

They aren't the best shots in the world but I posted them up to show how the R3 handles poor light and noise, the AF is very good and sticks to the subject better than my R6. When the camera couldn't see a head it very quickly locked onto the birds body.

One down side is that the touch screen didn't like my frozen sausages also known as my fingers and it refused to work until I warmed up my hands, no big problem as the Camera has so many ways to allow you to move AF points.

It's still early days but the R3 is an impressive piece of kit and is shaping up to be a winner.

Thanks for sharing. Overcast days are the best for this type of work, its like a giant soft box... A good thing.

AS far as the touch screen, Canon has done a great job getting their screens more like the screens on a modern smart phone. For a long time they were just junk by comparison... Anyhow, those type of screens need conductivity to work. I sometimes have issues with calluses on my hands making these screens to work. If I lick my finger it will fix that but then I have spit smears on my screen lol...
