Unable to control ISO fully without pressing a button first (M6ii)
3

Hi,

I just moved from the M6 to the M6ii.  On the M6 I had the top dial set to control ISO.  I could adjust the ISO instantly, just by turning that dial.  On the M6ii that option is not available.  That dial can only be set to shutter or aperture - nothing else.  It seems like an odd decision.  As far as I know, the only other ways to control ISO are:

1. Use the touch screen (a no go for me)

2. Assign ISO to the rear dial (the one around the Q button).  This works and I can instantly adjust the ISO without pressing a button first, but an issue makes this a no go; I can't use that dial to set the ISO to Auto.  There's a bug (I guess it's a bug, not a feature) preventing it from going below 100 and into Auto.  I have to press the ISO box on the touch screen first and then rotate the dial if I want to get to Auto ISO.

3. Set the 'Dial Func' button (or any other assignable button) to activate ISO control and use one of the dials to change the ISO.  But this means pressing a button and then turning the dial.

What I can't find a way to do is to just have one of the dials controlling ISO like on the M6, without first having to press a button.  Using the rear dial would have been the answer if not for the 'unable to select Auto ISO' bug.

Is what I've described true and something I should accept or am I just not seeing a way to do what I would like to do?
