Did you know most nand manufacturers quote data retention of 10 years?  I have some that required a lot of read correction after only 8 years.  NOT long term storage.  Most of my carefully stored CD's and DVD's are still OK after almost 20 years, though they need some error correction even immediately after writing.

Its not practical for photo file storage but my AppleII tapes and floppies are still readable. Most of my negatives from 60 years ago are just fine too.

Good thing my stuff is not that great !
