Hello.
I am interested in purchasing a new camera, I currently have a 6Dii camera, with several ef lenses, my main use of the camera will be sports photography (mainly acrobatics and rhythmic gymnastics), dance, performances, studio, people, animals.
I'm undecided between buying r3 and r6.
Camera features that are important to me:
1) ISO capabilities in harsh lighting conditions.
2) Fast and accurate focus even in harsh lighting conditions.
3) Activate a rolling shutter as low as possible.
r6
I know of r6 has the rolling shutter phenomenon, to what extent is it manifested?
She has a problem that when shooting the viewfinder turns black, I realized that it's causing it to miss focus and miss pictures, how true is that?
How is its battery life?
I have some other drawbacks with it, but it can be overcome.
r3
The problem with it is the price, does the price really justify what it gives?
Which camera do you think is best for photography and will give me the best value?
It is important that the camera also work well on excellent with an ef lens adapter
Thanks.
If you just want to take great photographs and you are not using the camera in extreme conditions in rainforests or something , R6 will do everything you need. EF lenses work just fine - own experience of lenses like 100-400LmkII.
I have first generation lenses, the question is how does it work with them
Focusing is just great in all possible circumstances - also in low light .
I have not noticed any problems with viewfinder turning black when i have shot rather long bursts of a fast moving surfer. Every frame sharp... eye/face detection works from a longish distance - surprisingly well.
Your 6D has better battery life than R6 - you have to buy one more spare battery.
R3 is better - whatever that is ... extremely fast speed (fps) , eye controlled focusing point etc . Longer battery life - and much more expensive spare batteries.
The price is about x 3 , i do not know if R3 is three times better. Perhaps in some very special cases. Of course i will buy a R3 when i win in the lottery... nothing against a great camera.
This is the main question, is r3 really worth the price of x3
IMO the limiting factor is us photographers. I'm sure R3 is too much for my skills. Especially limited video skills. And i'm not shooting extremely fast sports
R6 + 100-400

Is this the quality of the image?
I do not quite understand your question ... The quality of this one image is this as it is. IMO OK in that situation , not the best "test shot" technically with this camera.
ISO 1600 , not so bright light and a lot of water in the air - his face is wet as you see. I have not done much noise reduction or extra sharpening - very much as it is as a fast edit from a RAW file. Just to show what kind of photographs i tried to take with 100-400L. Not a test shot - and this was the first visit to the beach with this lens / camera combo.... I'm not sure if his face is in absolute perfect focus - speed was rather fast in heavy wind (this image just looks quite peaceful) .
Not sure what you want to see... some images that i took for myself to test other lenses, low ISO and better light, of course the image size is not very big, but perhaps this helps. Fast edits - trying to see the lens quality .... i know what the camera can do
