Is this a lie?

Hi everyone,

I came across the Aputure Amaran HR672S LED Light Panel. Photometrics claim that this light has a rating of 6040lux @ 1m. The beam angle is 25˚

I looked at the review of the Aputure Amaran 60d done by DSLR Video Shooter. In his comparison test of the Aputure Amaran 60d to the Aputure 120d Mark II, his tests found that the Aputure 120d Mark II is rated at 6570lux at 1m, the Aputure Amaran 60d rated 5270lux at 1m.

How is it that the LED Panel is this close to the Aputure 120d Mark II?

Is it really brighter than the point source Aputure Amaran 60d? If so, which is the better choice for a budget LED Light? The Aputure Amaran 60d or the HR672S?
