Funny that you mentioned these. Just last week I sold my last two Nikon lenses; the 85mm f/1.4D and the 180mm f/2.8D to help fund my new Fujifilm 50-140mm f/2.8. Those Nikkor lenses were my favorite two lenses ever, in 60 years of owning cameras, and I can already tell that the 50-140 will join that short list. I considered the 90mm, but the zoom is just too versatile for my use to overlook.
