Is the R3 a better camera than the R6, sure it is. It better damn well better be for 3.7 times the price. So bang for the buck I don't see it as worth the extra bucks.

The R3 does have rolling shutter but is less than the R6.

I hear from you more I WANT over I NEED.

Make a list of your NEEDS and another one for your WANTS. Check the specs on both and see how they fill your NEEDS and WANTS.

Are you a hobbyist or do you make a living in photography ?

There is nothing wrong with getting a camera for your wants just be honest about to yourself.

I would love to have an R3 but I have NO real need for but a whole lot of want

Also there is the weight problem with the R3 at 1015g and the R6 at 680g

At the price of the R3 I would rent one for a week to make sure its what you need and want.

best of luck.

I have officially recorded my needs. I also shoot competitions, so I should not have a problem of missing focus or opening an image on a computer and seeing that it is not good because I shot at 3200 ISO. With weight I have no problem, it does not constitute something for me. I read a lot of reviews on the net about the two cameras, they do not have a significant flag according to what they say, the question is how much it really is expressed in reality
