HDMI OUT conversion 50i to 25p

I'm a lapsed stills photographer forced into videography to support my wife's career progression. If I could get her to pay me I would just go out and buy some up to date equipment.  The films we make involve a lot of follow and tracking shot as well as static medium shots talking to camera.

I have cobbled together a rig which cost, from second hand parts , about £750 so I dont really want to lose this investment .  Its a Sony RX100 iii on a zhiyun gimbal feeding into an Atomos Nija2, audio provided by Rode wireless Goii into the Ninja.

I have to say, and I am a picky type, the results are stellar for the outlay and have been used by a national broadcaster with compliments.  The handle unscrews in seconds and the gimbal mounted on a good tripod suddenly gives my pans a fluidity that eluded me before. The ProRes format is welcomed by editors and the audio is synchronised and really top flight.

BUT. the RX100, as with many compact cameras outputs HDMI as 50p or 50i and the Ninja can only handle the 50i so with any appreciable movement the interlace artifacts make the results unusable.  It really is a problem.

I could get a bigger camera but then I would need a bigger gimbal and the whole thing is less "sweet".

Can someone help by suggesting a battery-powered digital converter to turn 50p into 25p or a compact camera with a 25p HDMI output that is old enough to be available second-hand?
