Yes, that's a very good demo. (Closest spots moving to the right, central distance just slowly dropping down and furthest spots moving to the left -  to verify I've seen it correctly.)

I must try to think of some subject like a turntable for which it would be most appropriate.

I am currently playing with fake 3D using my old still 2D photos and 'painting' a depth map, (Xeye) thus:-
