I am finding it quite difficult to ignore the Z7 at the moment, especially when I need to crop already on DX for some wildlife. Due to poor light here I have been trying to justify the Z6 instead.

I do not have side by side experience of the Z7 alongside the Z6 - so cannot give fair hands on advice.

In the background either camera viewfinder can show a lot of viewfinder shot noise in light approaching near dark so low using using a DSLR viewfinder becomes difficult.

Noise reducing PP software has improved dramatically over about the last 12 months.

Understood, thanks for responding regardless. It seems the EVF is something many have been pleasantly surprised with, certainly looking forward to getting my hands on one soon.

Software has come on in leaps and bounds lately, I have been using DXO Labs for a while now, most impressive noise reduction, incredible in fact. It has 'saved' many of my D7000 images from being unusable.
