I had two original Canon LP-E17s but after I lost one of them I opted to try a third party out.
I discovered this thing exists - it includes 2 batteries and also a USB charger - which also charges the original batteries.

I've been using the batteries for about 3 months now and I don't notice any difference in terms of how long I can shoot for compared to the original battery. The best part is the USB charger, I can take it anywhere on my travels as everywhere has USB ports now, so no longer have to carry around the original charger & lead.
+1 Back to the original question, I really love the 3rd party USB chargers. The ones I’ve used will also charge the Canon OEM batteries. Extremely handy!

Another vote for the USB chargers and non-OEM batteries. I never use the original battery charger for my batteries. I have a dual charger which has micro, usb-c and a usb a plug on it. It is half the size of the original charger and I can charge the batteries on the move. Whilst I haven't used non-oem batteries on my M6II I have on the 500D and 90D and they worked fine.
Must say it's a bit strange that you can buy the camera, but batteries aren't included.
