Re: Moving from Canon to X-t3--lens suggestions for Fuji
for travel, I've been to Việt Nam 4 times. I can't remember what I had in 2015, my first trip, but 2016 I had my Canon T5i and Tamron 16-300mm lens. I think this is a good all around lens. 2017 and 2018 I had my Canon 80D with my Tamron 18-400mm lens. It gave me the wide angle at 18mm and the close view at 400mm. I recently bought the Canon M50m2 and bought the Tamron 18-200mm lens, I thought it is a great lens, the photos were really nice. The 18-400 and 18-200 both get some good shots when you zoom out all the way and use it for Macro shots with the touch shutter. I got disappointed at the lack of support from Canon and aftermarket lens makers for the M series, I was able to use a Fujifilm X-T3 that I sent to a friend in Việt Nam and really liked it, last week I bought one that came with a Meike 35mm manual focus lens. So I bought a couple XC lenses, the 16-50mm and the 50-230mm lenses. Tamron just came out with the 18-300mm lens for the X mount and I was able to find one. It will be here Thursday!! I can't wait!! I've been a fan of Tamron for a long time! The 16-300mm lens I bought needed a firmware update and I sent it to them and they updated it and sent it back free. The 18-200mm lens I bought for the M50m2 needed a firmware update also, I sent it to them, they had trouble with it so they sent me a newer lens back!
You said you wanted less clutter? I really like the "all in one" lenses. They are weather resistant also and that is a plus!!
I'm sending the M50m2 to my son, him and his wife can use them in his coffee/cake shop. I am selling the 80D and Tamron 18-400mm and SP45mm f1.8 lenses. I will switch to Fujifilm and see what I can do there. hehe
I can't wait to get my Tamron 18-300mm lens ^_^
(Eventually I would love to have the Fuji XF100-400mm lens, but 1600-1900$ is a LOT of money!! BUT one day.............. ) hehe
