I don't disagree. However, I am not of those and found the Foveon initially because of high quality and unique rendering at a relatively low price. This was before the current batch of very high res, low cost FF cameras. This week has the Fuji GFX with 50mpix model at $2999 in the USA. We are in new countryside for value for money.

When I bought my SDQH and a short zoom lenses I decided to bring it with me as a single camera for two months. Even though there were many situations it was not perfect I loved many of those pictures. Also the OOC jpegs were very good and I didn't need to PP every image in SPP to get a viewable result.

If the new FFF provides just a little more latitude along with the tradition of special rendering I will probably get one. The L serview lenses are building out from Sigma and I use them on a used Leica SL which would cover all my other bases, low light, high burst speed when needed and great haptics.

While technically there may be reasons to say a high res bayer sensors is just as good, I can see and feel the "depth" in the multi layers laid down on the foveon image. Rather like layers of paint it adds texture and depth, think oil versus watercolor to use an art analogy.

I remain hopeful and with I had not sold my SDQH.
